夜莺

An emperor hears a nightingale sing and invites it to his palace. Its plain feathers surprise people who expected a splendid bird.

A jewelled mechanical bird arrives. It repeats a perfect tune, and the real nightingale flies back to the woods.

One day the mechanical bird breaks. Later, the emperor becomes ill, and the silent palace feels lonely.

一天，机械鸟坏了。后来皇帝病倒，安静的宫殿十分孤独。

The nightingale returns to the window and sings a living, changing song. The emperor feels hope again.

夜莺回到窗边，唱起鲜活、变化的歌，皇帝重新有了希望。

He offers gifts, but the bird asks to stay free. It will visit and sing because it chooses to.
