A trumpeter claims he never joins an argument. He only blows a loud call when others begin to quarrel.

吹号的人说自己从不参加争吵，只在别人吵起来时吹响号角。

But each call brings more people, and the quarrel grows louder.

可是每次号角都引来更多人，争吵也越来越大。

An elder asks him to stop for a moment. Without the signal, the crowd begins to leave.

长者请他停一会儿。没了号声，围观的人渐渐散开。

The trumpeter sees that encouraging a quarrel can keep it going, even without saying a word.

吹号的人明白了，即使一句话不说，起哄也会让争执继续。
